Our History
A group of local residents from Christian Covenant Community had a vision of starting a school to provide quality Christian education for the community of Emerald some 25 years ago. Emerald Christian College began with 18 students on the 5 February 2001 in the A Block building. We were first called Emerald Educational College, but in our unchanging desire to be relevant to our community soon changed our name to Emerald Christian College.
We slowly grew to a full Prep to Year 7 Primary school and in 2007 added Years 8 -10. In 2011 we added Years 11 and 12.
In 2015 we added Little Gems our Early Childhood Centre and in 2018, we opened Ontrack, a Special Assistance School for the disengaged youth.
